"I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian, it's also a sacred union. You know, God's in the mix."
"I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be — between a man and a woman."
Two nearly identical responses to a question on the definition of marriage.
Carrie Prejean has of course been reviled for her response and lost the Miss America pageant because of it, while
Barack Obama's answer was broadly ignored by his supporters, and he remains beloved of gay-marriage advocates. How can they hate Prejean's statement and shrug off Obama's identical assertion? Quite simple: they know he's lying.

That is *exactly* the answer I gave to that question when I was asked yesterday. :)
