China is building bridges in Africa (h/t Tom Ricks), both literally and figuratively. The question is, bridges to where?
I am not sure what China is up to in Africa. But I have the nagging thought that we will figure it out in 15 years and be sorry.Yeah, that thought's been more than just nagging me.

I got worried several years ago already when English-language Chinese newspapers were repeating (or perhaps providing) Mugabe's cute little "The West is Out To Get Us!!!!" spiel.
