Hee, hee. I stumbled across those recipe cards a long time ago, and then promptly forgot about them. Glad the site is still up.
And thanks for the link to Lilek's site. I've looked at Mommy Knows Worst, but I'm thinking "Interior Desecrations" can't be passed up.
I'm going go whip up some melon mousse now. With 2 cups of Sanka to go with it.
Whatever happened to Sanka?
::cue ominous music:: Oh, you can still buy it. It's usually on the bottom row of the coffee area, near the Postum and the off-brand instant coffee.
I'll bet even the instant coffee in an MRE tastes better than Sanka.
Yeah, MRE coffee is usually Nescafe packets. I don't think I've ever bothered to mix it with water, though. Everyone just shoots them as mix-in-your-mouth espresso shots. So it really wouldn't make much difference. Sometimes, for a real treat, you can mix a hot chocolate packet, several coffee packets (Mormons are great for giving up their coffee without a trade), and all the creamers you can find for a chewable, pasty mocha.
That'd be good in a tube.
Add a little fluoride and it'd be the ultimate Morning Toothpaste... mmmmm.
