May God grant our new President the talent of Wisdom in his governance. And I hope for integrity and justice and temperance and humility and intelligence.
Our pastor uses the NIV for Bible study, but never fails to go on a little rant about Reformed bias in bible translations when a verse comes up that shows it. There really aren't too many.
The one that came up the other day was Luke 11:28. ESV says "keep" and the NIV says "obey." The ESV implies simply holding onto something already received; that's quite a bit different sense than "obey" and you'll be blessed.

That parable ends on such a happy note.
I see you chose the ESV - the English Sanctified Version, according to Rosebrough of Pirate Christian Radio.
Yeah. Though while studying New Testament Greek in college I was entirely satisfied with the NIV, the ESV does flow a bit better.
